  • Description

The UV-1 is a robust, efficient and cost effective ultra-violet sterilizer designed for the disinfection of drinking water in the average household at a flow range between 2.4 and 5.8 GPM (9 - 22 LPM). Typically installed at the point of use (e.g. under the sink), it can treat municipal water as well as ground water from drilled or dug wells, and surface water from lakes, ponds or rivers. Other applications for this sterilizer are for the purification of process water in laboratories and dental offices, or the prevention of biofouling in RO Systems.

The UV-1 sterilizer will purify the water from most common contaminants. Bacterial, viral and other pathogens are inactivated by a high intensity UV dose that kills harmful microorganisms such as E. coli and Giardia at a 99.99% kill rate.

Pathogens that are inactivated by this UV sterilizer:

Anthrax, Chlorella, Clostridium, Coxsackie, Cryptosporidium parvum, E. coli, Giardia lamblia, Hepatitis, Influenza, Legionella, Listeria, Micrococcus, Paramecium, Polio, Pseudomonas, Salmonella, Shigella, Streptococcus, Toxoplasma, Vibrio cholerae
and many more.
